About Globix and what we supply
Is Globix a rope manufacturer or a trading company?
Globix has manufactured natural fibre rope (manila, sisal, jute and cotton) in Kolkata since 1953. The other five categories we supply — brass and copper components, industrial sheets and gaskets, pipes and valves, metals, and industrial textiles — are sourced and verified against specification using the same manufacturing-based quality process, rather than manufactured in-house.
Which product categories does Globix supply?
Six categories: ropes, twines and cordage (manila, sisal, jute, cotton, coir and synthetic); brass and copper components including marine fittings; industrial sheets and gaskets (cork, rubber, jointing and felt); pipes, valves and hardware; metals (steel, zinc and lead); and industrial textiles and safety wear.
See the full product index for HS codes and category detail.
Where is Globix based, and can the manufacturing site be verified?
Globix is based at 55 Canning Street, F-Block, 2nd Floor, Mehta Building, Kolkata 700001, West Bengal, India, and has operated there since 1953. Buyers verifying the manufacturer can also check our listed profiles on IndiaMART and TradeIndia.
Quantities, samples and documentation
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for an export order?
MOQ depends on the product category, specification and construction requested — there is no single fixed minimum across manila rope, brass fittings, sheets and gaskets, and the other categories we supply. Send your specification and target quantity through the quote request form and we will confirm what is workable for that order.
Can Globix provide samples before a bulk order?
Tell us the product, specification and destination when you enquire, and we will confirm sample availability and terms for that specific item as part of the quote process.
What export documentation does Globix provide?
Every export order is supported with a Commercial Invoice and Packing List that is HS-coded by line item, a Certificate of Origin, Mill Test Certificates where applicable for metal products, and Fumigation Certificates for natural fibre or wooden packaging where required by the destination country. Globix holds an active Import Export Code (IEC) for cross-border shipment.
See Quality and Verification for the full process.
Does Globix hold ISO or other quality certifications?
Specific certifications such as ISO or BIS vary by product category and, for sourced items, by manufacturer. If a certification is a requirement for your order, state it when you enquire and we will confirm what is available for that product before you commit.
How do I request a quote from Globix?
Use the quote request form on the Contact page, or email sales@globix.co.in with your product, specification, quantity and destination. We confirm specification in writing before production or sourcing begins on any order.
